Ian Major
Ian Major is a marketing, sales and business operations professional with nearly 40 years experience in the luxury car industry. A former UK Marketing and Overseas Operations Director of Jaguar Cars and Marketing and Curriculum Development Director at the Automotive Academy, Ian has a wealth of experience in product marketing and an in-depth understanding of how to sell quality products through building effective relationships and strong productive teams. He has a background in lean business
improvement techniques, membership services development and latterly in training and educational support. Ian takes the lead in the development and delivery of the StoneTrain M&SDP management training programmes.

Priestman Associates LLP is a leading technical authority in the field of Facade Preservation. They are equally comfortable providing boardroom or on-site consultation for a wide range of matters relating to the natural stone sector, specialising in: specification trouble-shooting, solution-sourcing, project-rescue and training needs profiling.

Assessor, Trainer & Verifier
David has over 40 years experience in construction and specialises in the stone sector and in the discipline of façade preservation. He has undertaken prestigious project consultancy work throughout the UK, Europe and Asia. David acts for SFGB as a member of their Executive Committee and chairs their Surface Cleaning and Repair Group. He also sits on the committee’s of the Natural Stone Industry Training Group, the National Working Group for Stonemasonry as its Chairman, andthe National Specialist Accreditation Centre. He is a qualified assessor, trainer and verifier and holds Full Licentiate status with the Institute of Assessors and Verifiers.

Mark Priestman L.CGI, L.IAV, A.IfL, F.Inst SMM
Consultant Assessor, Trainer & Verifier
Mark has been involved in the stone trade and façade preservation disciplines for well over 20 years. Mark is a qualified and accredited assessor, trainer and verifier with CITB and holds Full Licentiate with the Institute of Assessors and Verifiers and membership of the Association of Construction Assessors and Verifiers. He has been recognised for a number of years as a Sector Specialist by the City & Guilds Institute of London. In 2010 he was appointed by ConstructionSkills as a Construction Ambassador.
